I would like to remember my mother Kathleen Hill who passed away five months ago. She would have been 80 years old today.

Spectacular photo....who took the picture? Whenever I stand on the shores of Gitchee Gumee I'm reminded of my parents who passed over many years ago. She always gives me a quiet solace when she is quiet, and an open eyed wonder when she is fierce.

Tom; You are absolutely correct, although I have a seaplane rating on my pilot license and the FAA does not specify sea or float. My license says "land and sea" which entitles me to fly floats or sea. If you want to be even more specific the floats in the photo are amphibious floats.

What a beautiful picture! We just learned today of the passing of a family friend, Dortha Gainey, in Enid,OK. So to her memory and that of other family members... May God grant you eternal rest. We love you and will miss you all.

When I was separated from Service I received a
Commercial,single & multi engine, land & sea,
unlimited horsepower license.I started Tech in
the fall 0f '46 and never did use it.

Like to remember my father and mother who brought me up to Copper Harbor in the late 1950's. It was beautiful then and looks just as beautiful now from the pictures.

I surely hope all you Yoopers get to see the Blue Moon tonight. The sky is very cloudy and overcast down here on the west coast of Florida and we cannot see it. Maybe someone could get some pictures tonight and post for those of us less fortunate.

Land or Sea....ASEL/ASES.....with commerical privledges on both.........and it is an amphib.........

Now if I could just figure out a way to put floats on the Mooney........maybe duct tape....
