Recieved shipment Thursday as advised and in good order. Apparently still frozen so popped them in the freezer except for one that I ate. Very good. Delicious. Around here, in the socalled Mother Lode country of California They are known as Cousin Jack Pasties brought here by the Cornish hardrock miners who worked in the minesaround Grass Valley and Nevada City---where my grandmother and mother were born. My grandmother used to make them for our family. I learned how from her and for many years made them for my family.

In Loving Memory of my Grandma, Hilda Tiensivu, who died 29 years ago this month. Thank you for being a wonderful Grandmother, and for living in Mohawk, which caused me to become a part of the U.P. --- The most wonderful place on Earth.

Also in Memory of my best friend Billy Lydecker, who was killed by a car when we were both 11 years old. I will never forget you and our fun in Boy Scouts.

In memory of Edith Hellman who passed away on Jan 18th of this year. She was the mother of my close friend Kathy. Edith was a very nice woman.She was warm and friendly to everyone. She lived in Dollar Bay most of her life and was active in her church and in politics.Much time was spent helping Rusty when he was running for office.
She also served as Suervisor of Osceola twp This fine person with the smiley face will be missed by many.

They used to talk on the phone almost every day. Now they've had a chance to "catch up" on things along with another friend & phone pal, Martha Orquist.
