This is going to take some getting used to. Here in cloudy New Zealand it's already Wednesday afternoon, and back home in the U.P. you're still stuck in Tuesday. I'm ready for a nap.

Peg Hardt sure captured a magic moment with this shot. You can almost feel the sun's warmth and the cool mist off the water. Of course I see the world like this most of the time because my glasses are usually dirty. Romantic, isn't it?

I have received several suggestions for sights to see (and to avoid) here in NZ. Somebody suggested a visit to Autralia next, seein as how I'm so close. Still, it would be a long way to paddle.

G'day and goodnight from the land of the Southern Cross.

Hei Toivo, pretty soon it'll be Wednesday here, too. Keskivikko. Whoda thunkit, eh? Toivo in NZ. Holy Wah! How does Hawaii fit into the new plan? I never had a first posting before. :>) Hope it's a REALLY nice time for you. Kiitos!

Whoops, it's been Wednesday for an hour already. G'nite and Kupainau.

Very interesting and beautiful photo. Thanks, Peg. Now I'm wondering, when will the fall color Peak Predictions begin? Particularly for the Marquette area. What do people think? First weekend in October or second? Too early to say?

Can anybody tell me how to view all the calendar views and how to vote? Thanks

Question #2...just who is this here fella "Toivo" and what's he up to? See, I was taught that if you wanna know something..speak up. As I "mature" ( get older)it's getting to be fun to ask questions, can't wait till I'm 85! :)

How do you post a picture on here from an e-mail I recieved? I got two spectacular pictures today taken by a firefighter, fighting the fires out west. They are breathtakingly beautiful, yet a reminder how tragic these fires can be. I'm still learning about computers and how to operate them. Please tell me and I will transfer them for all to see.

This photo was taken on a small (206 acre), private access lake just .3 of a mile south of M519. We're almost in the U.P., and we do enjoy visiting often in all seasons of the year.
