Don't recall if we've ever seen Lake of the Clouds on a cloudy day here at the Pasty Cam. Bob Whitlatch apparently took a motorcycle expedition around the U.P., and happened to arrive there on such a day - - all the way from Lima, Ohio. Bob has one of several new albums over in the Guest Gallery.

They had some awesome northern lights (uh-roar-uh boar-e-alice) here in Alaska last night, and probably back home in da yoop, too. Bedding down tonight in Alaska's Eagle River, just like Eagle River, Michigan - - minus the Mall, the 4-lane highway, and about 30,000 people. Have to be back in Anchorage tomorrow night to fly out. Good night and good morning to all the folks in Pastyland.

I used to love taking trips to Lake of the Clouds!! We moved to Kansas 2 years ago, and I wish I was back home in the UP!

Beautiful picture. Lake of the Clouds looked just like that (cloudy) the last time I was there, in 1985. Too long ago. I will have to make a point of taking my sons there next summer.

Made tree trips out to da house today movin my stuff and am I ever beat. Who ever said dat movin is a fun ting.
