Donn,

You forgot to add one other link that has many beautiful photos. If you go to
http://pasty.com/pcam/album20 you will see U.P. beauty in abundance.

Donn de Yampert in my opinion is one of the BIG 3 in da U.P. I don't think I need to list the other 2 photographers.

Thanks you Donn for constantly posting new photos to your album. I think you should think about your own calendar and make it available for purchasing on your site. I think it would be a hit!

By Connie - Colorado on Sunday, August 31, 2003 - 04:14 pm:

Has anyone been seeing Northern Lights or Aurora's of any kind lately? There should be good views this week. It's been raining here in the evening - wonderful for the drought - bad for sky viewing. I hope someone can capture them and put them in a gallery! Toivo should have the best viewing opportunities (on the west coast and far north).

By Julie, Lake Orion on Sunday, August 31, 2003 - 06:15 pm:

Connie - Colorado
We just came back home from a 2 week vacation at McLain State Park. During that time we had some spectacular views of the northern lights. For 2 nights in a row the colors were just awesome ! I wish I had the right equiptment to take a photo.

By Walt, Ohio still completely Yooper Finn on Sunday, August 31, 2003 - 08:53 pm:

"Mr. Pasty" Viljo (Bill) Lohela went home to be with his Lord last Monday, August 25, 2003. Serving as the pasty maker PAR EXCELLENCE at the Kaleva Cafe in Hancock for many years, he retired from that activity only in his eighties. He was also a great fisherman and world traveler. Bill is greatly missed by many friends and family, but he is now in a far better place "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" The celebration of his life took place at the South Range Apostolic Lutheran Church last Friday, which was followed by a Pasty feast in his honor.

By Donn de Yampert, PT, DPT. on Sunday, August 31, 2003 - 09:43 pm:

We have a past photograph of Mr. Pasty taken last winter from

http://www.pasty.com/discuss/messages/994/1724.html#PN

I will always remember this photograph well. Both men were very polite but typical of the men waiting on the women shopping at the mall. I am sorry for his passing but will always remember well as you will.

Regards,
Donn
