As I'm getting closer to the North Pole, just couldn't resist this shot in Mary Drew's slide show about Lake Linden. Seems that Santa visits each year to sweat out the July 4th parade, and in this shot he happened to be in front of the High School we saw from the air yesterday. Nice catch there, Santa. (A lady named Dee, according to Mary's album).

A busy day ahead for me and the old beater, headed back across the Yukon, and on into Alaska. I'm debating whether to just sell the old bucket of bolts and hop a freighter down to Hawaii, or maybe fly if I can scrape up enough raha. Have to sleep on it.

Ah, but Santa's shades are really cool! Takes care of the glare off the ice at the North Pole as well as the blazing sun of Lake Linden, right?
