The Guest Gallery continues to attract some amazing glimpses of life in the U.P. This shot is from one of the new albums by Keith Meyers, but could well have been taken this morning.
Just a side note about online pasty orders. If you've been keeping up with Pasty Central over the past 7 years, you know that we stop shipping for awhile over the summer, for a variety of reasons. Once again this year we will be providing thousands of pasties for the Minnesota State Fair, and the local demand has dramatically increased as well. Coupled with the hot conditions around much of the country, we have decided it would be best to suspend any more shipments until after Labor Day. If you have an order scheduled for shipping today (Monday), it will be sent as planned, and we'll email the tracking number later on.
We would like to have half the rain and half the temp this cloud produced. 105 degrees here for the 9th day in a row, wind gust to 40 mph, and dry!

we're about to get into Monsoon Season here in Arizona, we should get some good Thunderstorms in a month or so, we hope! We haven't seen water in 6 months here. Great Picture, brings back memories!

Dear Nunny, I saw the Adair photo and yes it is an interesting shaped cloud. I might say the same thing for the "Clouds over Portage" above. As you know, clouds continue to change shapes as they are influenced by rising and falling wind currents. What makes the Adair photo "unique" is the timing of the image. If it was taken earlier or later the photo would look different.
