A busy Saturday morning delayed today's picture. Guess I'll have to start posting our weekend Pasty Cam the night before, like Toivo does during the week. It's just that midnight is way past my bedtime. Toivo may be at home for a while, though he hasn't given up on completing his North American tour.

Crisp Point is over in the eastern part of the U.P. Naomi and Doug made their recent trip from right to left across Upper Michigan, with some nice shots along the way.

The Toivo Question of the Day is: So what happened with Tina?

Thanks Charlie for using our photo on pasty.com!
Doug and I had a great time on our 4 day trek from East to West across the U.P.!
We drove mostly off road trails, and dirt roads made for seeing alot of great scenery and places you dont normally see- i.e the Crisp Point Lighthouse...definetly worth the drive, the road is rough/narrow in places, but it is worth it when you see the spectaclar views.
It was great to be back for a visit back HOME,once a Yooper always a Yooper at heart!
We cant wait to get back again for another visit!

This is a beautifully kept lighthouse. And a beautiful picture of it! So nice to see the sunny picture. Thanks! (It's raining AGAIN in Northern NJ)

Great shot. Can't wait to get back to the Keeweenaw. We are always in such a hurry we don't stop for side trips anymore. Just a couple more weeks....

Crisp Point Light House...the whole area is a site for sore eyes! Northern Luce County has a neat network of one lane sand roads, NUMBERED as part of the Luce County Road system, and Crisp Point can be easily accessed with a good sense of adventure. #412 will lead you right to the light house....after following paved 407 north from Newberry to the Pine Stump Junction area; coming from points further west, head north off M 28 at McMillan on 415, and then connect via 407 to 412.....in all, very remote, but very worthy of a looksee!

The road to Crisp Point--what an adventure--and talk about God's country....just when you think you are good and lost, there she is rising out of the sand with the lake behind her. What a sight! We are looking forward to making the trek again in August if not sooner....I can smell the pines and hear the waves now.
