We gave Toivo some time off for the holiday... He's not the only one on the road this weekend. Lot's of traffic was headed north through Wisconsin last night as Edie and I drove south from Eagle River to Oshkosh. We are here for the wedding of Mandy Utecht, one of our previous campers at Gitche Gumee. If you have followed the Pasty Cam over the past 6 years, you may recall seeing Mandy in Houghton shortly after Wal-Mart opened.

Just enjoying the sunshine in GB, WI anticipating the drive up 41 to Esky to do some paddling this memorial day weekend. But the roof at camp needs to be fixed from the late winter sno loads. To my gal in Kazoo, I will see you soon honey. To all have a wonderful family fun filled day.

Thanks, for the update on Mandy. She was my camp counselor a few year back. I will miss the mild, beautiful U.P. summers as I'll be staying here in Ohio. Congrats, Mandy!! May God bless your marriage.

Hello to everyone. I have been lurking about since the 1st of the year and check back nearly everyday.

I just got back from the UP this past Tuesday. I sure have missed visiting there. I was surprised to be able to make it back to the camp I usually stay at this early in the year a few miles west of Twin Lakes. Tho, the road back to the camp needs some work, it was drivable for the most part.

As usual, I had a very relaxing, enjoyable and funfilled time and made new friends as I always seem to do with every visit.

I will be back at the end of the month for South Range's Centennial and will be bringing friends who have never been this far north. It will be fun to see them and their reaction!!!
