I see on the Bridge Cam tonight that its wet back in the Copper Country, too. Rainy and windy here in Hoquiam. The door of my Weekly Rate motel room doesn't close real tight, given me kind of a chill. Goin over to Tina's place in a few minutes, when she gets off work. You ever notice how when you have a nap in the middle of the day, you think you slept to the next day? Wah.
Been thinkin about a buddy of mine over in Iraq. I'm sure he misses the Keweenaw as much as I do.
Tovio,Nice to hear you made it there safe & sound. Have fun collecting that roll of duct tape!

I'm a step ahead of you, Proud Yooper. After we said goodnight I brought some duct tape back to the room to cover this whale of a crack, and viola! its about 10 degrees warmer in here. They ought to pass out rolls of this stuff at the front desk.
Don't know how long this trip will last. For years I suspected I would find a nice lady and settle down, but not before I seen a lot more of the U.S. of A. Tonight at dinner we talked about how a guy could start in the upper left-hand corner here with Washington, and work his way through state-by-state till he ended up at Florida. Then (if both still so inclined) maybe hook up in Alaska for a wedding and on to Hawaii for a honeymoon? and finally back to da U.P. for happy ever after. Sounds like a plan. It would prove out whether absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Toivo...HOLY WAH!!!.....Sounds like you'll be gone a really long time!!....can't you just skip all that travel,..... get to the point and bring Tina home with you?? We miss you!!!

Toivo, While you are off seeing the USA (Perhaps in your CHEVROLET?) can we clone you? Though many of us have never really "met" you, through your posts on this sight, photos and your assisiting Charlie we have come to know you. And we will MISS YOU! Safe travels and may God bless whatever it is the future holds for you & Tina. Live the dream! Life is short.

Toivo, if you are serious about a nationwide tour, maybe you could do some testing for Pasty.NET in each state. We have dial-in numbers now in all 50. Give me a call, and we can work something out, maybe even selling pasties or Internet service door-to-door?

These aren't the drivers in training for the Stillwaters new van are they? Can anyone tell me what the snow depth and snow bank is like along 5 Mile Point Road between Sandhills Lighthouse and Eagle River? My wife and I would like to come up next week with one of our granddaughters and we are wondering if we will have to snowshoe in? Will I be able to break the snow bank along the road to get my truck off the road? Thanks a bunch.

Z-Man is a true-blue yooper from over Ontonagon way, who slips some shots to the Pasty Cam now and then. He has a real beauty on the back cover of the 2003 Pasty Cam Calendar.
The name Z-Man came upon me while I was serving in the U.S. Marines. My job as a quality assurance inspector for jet aircraft required my signature on many documents. So I shortened my signature to "Z".
