It appears Taka was standing on the bridge which Joanne Stefanac included in the summer scene. I certainly don't think the road commission stands up the bridges as they do the picnic tables :o)

By the way, Taka took the honors for the first WOW of 2003 (see Wallpaper of the Week) with a breathtaking night view of the lift bridge. Looks like the idyllic scene above is another good candidate.

It's Haven Park, a little roadside park on the way to Lac Labelle. I've never seen it in the winter. How beautiful.

A spectacular shot of one of our favorite places. It is wonderful to see how it looks with a blanket of snow. If only I could mail myself back there right now. Go Taka! Thank you.

My aunt and uncle, both deceased now (Elwood and Toini Jaaskelainen) had a cottage not far from here. When I was a kid, my step-dad and I cut cedar mine ties and timbers on Bette Gris not far from the Mendota channel.

This looks very similar to the Fumee Creek falls on US 2 in Quinnesec.

Taka, you sure do have a keen sense of the right time/place to go for a daily pic. We all are truly blessed to have someone like yourself contributing to this site. Keep up the great work.

Hi- this is beautiful. Winter is my favorite season of the year here in FL and I miss snowy scenes like this.

Our family's camp is up on the hill behind the falls. I've always been up in the summer but never in the winter. (sigh) Maybe someday...

Beautiful

As remembered when I was a child, and as a young man that this beauty is what I hold dear.
