Rob Wetton didn't mention exaclty where this panorama was observed... It's like hundreds of such scenes here in the upper half of the U.P. Not a whole lot of snow, but cold enough to let us know it's winter.

By the way, one of Rob's photos is the January pick in the colorful 2003 Pasty Cam Calendar, which went up on hundreds of kitchen walls around the country yesterday. We still have a few of the calendars left, and you can pick up yours over on the pasty order form or at Pasty Softwear.

P.S. - Thanks for all of the wonderful New Years greetings in yesterday's Cam Notes. It was a real treat to hear from so many friends.

I think the shot is of Wetton's place at Bootjack..on Portage Lake outside of Lake Linden.not too far from Dreamland hotel.......spent many years in that area, just down the Bootjack road ....love it

Your right Mary Lou. The place furthest right is BOB'S place. Happy Holidays to Rob and the rest of Wetton family from Joe and Cara. Take care.

Happy New Year! Thanks for all of your hard work to keep this site up and running, and of course making the pasty. Those of you who haven't ordered your pasty cam calendar, hurry, hurry~this was the first year I did and I know I will be doing it every year here on out.
Please remember those who are serving in the military....
Take care.

Happy New Year. The Pasty Calendars came just
in time to wrap for stocking stuffers. It was one
thing my husband specifically requested. In the
70's he was one of those who drove on road rallys
in the woods around Houghton. He brought me home
to Pennsylvania, my first pasty 20 yrs ago. We
both enjoy your PastyNet site daily from our work
computers in PA and FLA. Thanks, keep up the
good work.

One of the secrets of the success of this site is the people who run it. Not to long ago I was unable to connect to the site and, after a couple of days of trying, I found Charlie's phone number. Not realizing how busy a guy he is, I called him. Charlie treated me as though I was the only person in the world and would do anything to get back my Keweenaw fix. We tried several things and finally Jon got me back on the next day.
That thankless service to all needing help is to me what makes Pasty Net the great site it is. The Charlie's and others allowing us the priviledge of making this a daily affair in our life deserve so much more than a thank you, to me they deserve a blessing for the joy they spread.

I'm at work, trying to pass time and check out the latest Pasty photos, lo and behold, there is the homestead! Rob, that's a great shot, makes me homesick! Not as much snow as I would have expected. How about a pic from the other angle. Happy holidays to you too, Joe and Cara. Luanne from Dickeyville, are you my cousin?
