Deer season starts on Saturday and thought I would share an email that I got from a good friend today.
Hi there!
Just thought I would let you know that Mike, Gerry, Ray, Art and Mike Williams made it to camp today around 5:30. They left the Finn's around 1:00 to go up! They got as far as the cut across road as the loggers had plowed as far as there. Gerry was leading because he has the V-plow on his truck. He was going to plow the rest of the way to camp but, he couldn't budge the over 30" of heavy, dense snow! They went in search of the bulldozer guy from the logging operation and he agreed to clear the rest of the way to camp and into the yard at camp. So.....they are up there but, I'm thinking they are going to have a terrible time getting to any blinds! I told Mike to take his snowshoes along in case he needed them but, he said no. I doubt if the deer will be moving in all that mess. The guys will probably end up sitting around the fire in the great room farting, burping, drinking and eating for the next week! Whatever....as long as they are happy and safe, right? I hope the two of you are safe and well and plowed out! Take care! L, M

Sounds like some pretty rugged fellas, Waveaction. Just glad it's them and not me.:-/
