The snow storm earlier in the week, didn't just blanket the Keweenaw…it spread it's snowy wealth across the U.P., including over in Ontonagon, where Frank Jezek snapped these photos of the event from the warmth of his home.
I think it's pretty neat to see the snow all illuminated by the flash of his camera with just a shadow of the tree off in the distance for perspective. Then he captured a view of his deck with the snow accumulating on everything in sight. Nice to see he's got his feeders all filled up for the poor birds who have to survive the long winter UP here. Frank's last shot was snapped when daylight arrived. Looks like it's time to get the shovel out and clear some of that white stuff away.
I'm guessing that the deer hunters are pleased to have "tracking snow" for the opening day of firearm deer season. Good luck to all the hunters... be safe out there in the woods.
