You might say that Jeremy Rowe is a creature of the night, since he enjoys getting out there snapping night scenes. Even his webpage is named for that passion: KeweenawNightSky. When you look at today's first shot from Jeremy, you first see the night sky, but it is so much more than that once you really study the entire picture. It's then that you notice the sky is actually lightening up as the moonrise begins, not to mention the faint aurora on the left. But I think what I enjoy the most in this shot, is the way the splash of the wave has captured the light in the scene, making it look like tiny diamonds sparkling in the air and scattering over the rocks. Fantastic!
The next three moon-shots come to us via Henry Sakari. It looks like he may be a night owl, too, since he was out capturing the moon as it darted behind clouds and in between branches. I really enjoy the added dimension the clouds bring to these photos, giving you more than just a look at the moon in the darkened sky. A glimpse at the many faces of the moon... I like that!

Amazing and beautiful pictures! There was a pretty full moon last night! Don't mind getting "mooned" this way!

A very nice foursome of after dark pictures that are seen more by owls and bats than humans. Thank you so much for sharing.
