Brenda Leigh made several excursions to the shores of Lake Superior in the Brimley area recently and brought back some different perspectives of the shoreline, both evening and daylight photos.
The first three Superior shots also show you the variety the waters of the Big Lake produce, from calm to rocking and rolling. No matter her mood, she's always a beautiful lake to be around. Always entertaining and mesmerizing, Lake Superior is absolutely magical.
The bottom photo comes from Laurie Bashaw, taken yesterday morning in the Ishpeming area. That's the reality we woke up to here UP North. Halloween snow…but never fear, it's supposed to be in the low 50's by Monday, so it will be gone again. This is the time of year for it to fall and melt, fall and melt....on and on… If only it would continue that throughout the winter. ;-)

Mary, Would your "if only" include it getting warm enough to melt the 2 feet of snow between blizzards, too? That would be some weird weather!

It doesn't happen too often that the little ones get a nice night to trick or treat in my neck of the woods. I remember two years ago we had snow too! I'm sure it will melt and return several times before it is here to stay. Just hoping we don't have the brutal winter that we had last year.

Yep, this time of year is difficult to predict. Great pictures!

Did everyone see how Lake Michigan has also been acting up? The strong and steady winds of the last 2 days down south nearly set a new record for wave height. Of course the Michigan record is less than half that of Superior's in excess of 50 feet.
My daughter told me about the snow in Ishpeming yesterday, It's hard to be a bumble bee or fire fighter in that kind of weather, but my grandkids went out into the weather to gather treats anyway.
