I would think that one of the advantages of working night shift, is that you're getting out of work at just about the same time as the sun is beginning its job here in the Keweenaw this time of year. Today we're treated to a photo of that morning bonus from Lindy Vencato who was on her way home from night shift when this spectacular sunrise show was taking place, so she stopped to record the blaze of glory with her cell phone camera.
Quite the amazing sunrise scene, with the Portage Lake Lift Bridge framing the blaze as it lights UP the entire skyline. The water in the canal couldn't have been any more perfect either, acting as a reflecting canvas, doubling the pleasure of seeing both the sun coming up so grandly and the bridge standing there at attention while it does. A wonderful case of being in the right place at the right time. Thanks for sharing the beauty with us all, Lindy!

ah yes, a fellow nighter! Yup, we may be a tad weird, but we keep you alive in a hospital, keep the lines working with manufacturing, etc...

Wow, Lindy, how special to have been there for that. Thank you for sharing it with us, and thank you for working all night, too.
