If you're wondering about the color situation in the L'Anse area, then take a look at Amy Cloutier's photos here today.
Amy stopped by the Canyon Falls area to snap these shots and I just love how she captured the color reflecting in the water there, too. The second photo makes me feel like I'm right there in the water, floating along in an tube, enjoying the color show on both sides of me.
Things have been changing fast around these parts, so what you see here, is probably not what you'll see in a day or two, since there seem to be many leaves on the ground already. I probably say this every year, but I sure wish the Fall color season lasted for months, rather than the short few weeks it does.

Fall is my favorite time of year on the Pasty Cam. So many contributors have colored these pages, and Mary has done a great job of preparing them each day to be published. I apologize for being the weak link the past couple of weeks in getting the Pasty Cam "on the air" in the morning like we have done for so many years.
As you may know, my wife Edie and I (the team that brings you Pasty Central Day in History) have spent the summer at the Beacon House in Marquette, as she has had hyperbaric oxygen treatments the past 14 weeks. We still have a couple of weeks left. To complicate matters, a little over a week ago I had hernia surgery in Hancock, so we are both hobbling around Marquette, just regaining strength. It has been a beautiful drive back and forth from here to the Copper Country the past few weeks (happen to still be at Beacon House tonight).
Thanks again to all who send these beautiful shots to share each day. Whether life is moving along smoothly, or whether we are facing difficult challenges, a few minutes catching up with the U.P. on the Pasty Cam is a pleasant daily side-trip :o)

These pictures are gorgeous! We were going to go driving around tomorrow to check out the colors. But the wind was blowing so hard today that a lot of them probably fell off of the trees. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

And the photo hits just keep on coming! Charlie and the gang, thanks for all your efforts. You and Edie take care of yourselves, and know that the pleasant daily side-trip you're talking about takes place on both sides of the computer screen.

Take care of yourselves, Charlie. We don't care what time the pictures get posted, just THAT the pictures get posted!

Ditto to what everyone else is saying. The three of you brighten so many of our days. Thank you.

Gorgeous Fall pictures. You're making me homesick--again! ;-) Charlie, you take care of Mary and yourself, and best wishes to both of you--and thanks for all you do.
