The colors around us here in the Keweenaw area have been outstanding, to say the least and they seem to have just exploded all at once. Today's beauties come to us from Bob Gilreath, who took to the trails on his side by side to check out the colors from Twin Lakes to the Mass City area.

All but the last three photos were snapped from the Firesteel trestles. The three trestles take ATV's, UTV's and snowmobiles in the winter, over the Firesteel River on the Bill Nicholls trail, which was the old Copper Range route. The color surrounding the trestles and off in the distance is quite simply, amazing!

The last two photos were snapped from the bluff that overlooks Mass City. Quite the vista from that vantage point, for sure. Standing up there, overlooking the valley below, it feels like you can see the fall colors forever!

Great pictures! I love to see some green mixed in with the golds, reds and yellows of autumn. Too bad the colors don't last a little longer.

Octuple-Wow...one for each pic! Can't be there, however this is the next best thing.
Many thanks for the color tour, Bob! I can feel your sense of wonderment as you snapped off these beauties.

Those are great pictures of the colors of fall. The beauty of the masterpiece Mother Nature paints in the fall is her way of saying....Enjoy it while it is here because after this things are gonna start to get ugly. With my apologies to all those folks that like winter.
