Beth Jukuri travels the roads from Chassell to Tapiola on her rural mail route, so she gets to watch the trees changing each and every day when the process begins. She snapped these shots on her route, showing the beginnings of color. I love the blend of hues in that first photo, along with the still green leaves on the background trees.

The bright red tree in the second photo seems to be standing there in full color, all by itself, again surrounded by green. Beth said this tree is always the first to show its color. It seems like the deep reds always show up first and then the rest of the colors follow.

Beth's last photo is quite the unique hanging plant. Not so much the plant, but the placement of it. She said that she's passed by this one for several weeks, admiring it each day and finally had to stop and snap a picture of it. I'm glad she did, as it's always great to see how others add color to their surroundings.

Thanks for the mini color tour, Beth!

Hope we have a l-o-n-g Fall, to hold off Winter!

The Cincinnati Bengals didn't do too bad yesterday, but they beat my homestate Tennessee Titans.:(

My favorite is the 2nd picture. Love any kind of road pictures!

I will admit the color change of the leaves is an eye pleasing sight. However, my favorite color for leaves is green.

These are beautiful shots ~ but I agree with your last statement, Duane!

Sorry about my post from yesterday, Mary, I thought I was posting on What'sUP.

Janie T, it just occurred to me, how did you get on that large bale of hay? Must have had help.

By Tom (Tom) on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 - 09:45 am:

Waveaction, Lambeau is in mourning. Might be a long, difficult season.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 - 09:48 am:

Tom, Bob gave me the lift. Those were 2000+ lb. bales. About 7 1/2 ft. up. Still crazy after all these years!

Janie you're just the one I need to talk to...about horses no less! I've brought out a lovely painting I started a couple years ago. My one grandson Jason is getting married Nov. 8th and his bride is a ravid horse person. And for their gift from me I hope to add a horse into the pasture scene and maybe a few head of cattle in the background. What I've be told is that horse women really would know what style the horse should look like. Maybe I'd need to call her mom and find out what breed Maranda's horse is??? I'm so proud of Jason, who served twice in Afganastan. But can't figure out how to work in his racing car or cycle ha-ha I could use any help or ideas you could offer. Thanks ahead of time.

Kay, I think to give this painting the special touch you are seeking would be to get a picture of Maranda's horse and use it into the painting. It would give it that personalized and sentimental aspect you are seeking. Or any picture of the American Quarter Horse is the first choice of a horse with cow sense, like my mare in my profile picture. Hope this helps! Sounds like a very special wedding coming your way! My Best Wishes to the Bride & Groom!
