Through the years many dedicated volunteers and history buffs have devoted their time and energy to preserving our rich Copper Country heritage. Chuck and Jane Pomazal are a couple of those spark plugs who keep the engine of history humming here in the U.P. These models at Quincy mine are an appropriate backdrop to announce a new book to be released this week, "Rock Down, Coal Up", for which we will be adding more info to this page throughout the week.

In case you missed it almost a year ago, we featured a video with Chuck giving us a tour of the intricate display at Quincy: Oct 6 2013

Sorry for such a late-in-the-day Shoebox Memory. This weekend we launched a major "Free Breakfast" special, featuring 4 Breakfast Pasties at no extra charge, with every Dozen regular pasties ordered. It has had an unprecedented response, with orders from most of the 50 states, and we are scrambling this weekend to get them out the door Monday and Tuesday. Find out more on our order calendar.

Have a good week :o)

Maybe a bit late, but utterly dependable. I knew if I came in just before the witching hour that you would have completed your mission! lol

with the shadows, downstairs (stone?) base, autumn
trees, weathered wood - that 2nd pic sure would make
a wonderful puzzle!

I know it's just a model, but I would LOVE to walk
inside that house, and experience what it looked like
inside, & felt like, and smelled like when a loco
rumbled on by!
I just cannot get over the detail! Just amazing!
