The town of Ontonagon has a long standing tradition of celebrating Labor Day with a parade and festivities. I know a number of people that enjoy spending the weekend there camping, so they can enjoy the parade, along with the folks that live there.
Frank Jezek and Helen Pietras Wenzel are two of those folks who reside in Ontonagon and they both shared a few photos of the parade with us, so we can pretend we were there, too. The first two photos are from Frank and the remaining shots come from Helen.
It sure looks like the parade goers were treated to a number of fun floats, along with some good music, too. Everyone loves a parade!

I especially like the float with the Iwo Jima Memorial. My favorite WW II memorial.

Philip and Thomas, I agree with you. And yes, Philip, I remember that well. I had a cousin who was in the battle at Iwo Jima.

Greetings:
Does the Ontonagon Labor Day parade still go up and back along the same parade route?
