Philip Odum was out and about with his camera in the Marquette area, capturing the sun as it was putting a morning glow on the Marquette Harbor Lighthouse. A beautiful sight indeed and I love how the sun reflects on the beach sand, too.
Philip's bottom photo is the Michipicoten at the Marquette Dock, aglow with its own lights and those from the structure, too. I'm not certain if this was taken in the early morning or in the waning light of evening, but either way, I think it's enchanting, with the magical glow surrounding it.

I like the last picture of the freighter with the lights shining off the water.

Wow!! Spectacular shots of my old home town. Hard to pick a favorite from those 3. Thanks so much!

I agree Jbuck! I lived right across the street from that beach my Junior year at NMU, we sure had a great time in that apartment above the taxi-cab co. ....very nice pictures, really makes me miss Marquette!

Great photos. The railroad cars on top of the dock sure do look small in comparison.

UC, those morning fumes from the cabs must have been a great pick-me-up, better than a latte double shot espresso from Starbucks. :-)

In the first picture, the foreground is the best part. It's calling to my toes (or is it the other way around?)
