Remembering my grandfather, Edmund Durocher, who passed away in August of 1963, and my grandmother, Irene Normand, who passed away in August of 1981. I think of them so very often.

8/1/1981.If you speak their name they will not be
forgotten.

Aug. 13th, 2013 we made the decision to put our beloved little Appaloosa mare, Misty to rest. She was 28 and was our joy in our life from the day we brought her home with us as a 4 yr. old. She and Michelle grew up together and competed in horse shows for 12 years. A one in a million little mare she was.

The lighthouse and pier is in Jacobsville, by "Beauty Beach." I spent
my childhood summers in Jacobsville,and I still remember the
majestic and pristine beauty of that area. The smell of the Sauna
heating up on Saturday night is a fond memory, as is the clean,
sweet air. My great-grandfather, Herman Ruonavaara, lived in that
area, and he came from Kemi,Finland. My grandmother, Aurora,
Ruonavaara Harma lived there until my mother, Ethel Harma Scrase
was 16 years old. My parents, Ethel and Floyd Scrase had a cottage
in Jacobsville for most of their lives. I have not been there for many
years. Does anyone remember my family?

Remembering our parents Norman and Helen Pooley, Ed and Sophie Kuusisto, Aunt Lyle Pooley, our sister in law and dear friend Phyllis Kuusisto, Karen Kuusisto, Janet Trasti, our good buddy Nitz Kumpula, our nephew “The Chief” Churchill, our sweet niece Rosie Churchill, Our niece Bailey Hartmann, our brother in law and friend Wayne Hartmann our sister and best friend Flo Hartmann and our dear sweet baby girl Annie Kuusisto.
We love and miss you all so much.

Remembering my mother, Sue Kinnunen, who passed away September 17, 2011. I think about her every day.

Remembering Ed Fisher, who was a tremendous asset to Michigan Tech's Chemical Engineering Dept. He raised a lot of money to start their Unit Lab. He hired about half of the current professors. In addition, he served on Lake Linden's Village Council, as President, and as a member. Copper Country and Michigan Tech have lost a very valuable resident. He will truly be missed. My deepest sympathy goes to his wonderful wife, Nancy, and his special needs son, Andy, as well as to his friends in Michigan Tech's Chemical Engineering Dept. Hugs to Nancy and Andy!
