Today's first and second photo from Melody Provost Holmes remind me of "Field of Dreams" and the line, "Build it and they will come." Only thing, in the photos, the they is the clouds, filling up the blue sky with puffy whiteness and sleek dark gray below. I like the power it represents, because you know with the dark clouds, there's a storm brewin'. The tasseled out cornstalks really stand out against that cloudy backdrop, too.

Melody's bottom photo is Strawberry Lake which is located near downtown Norway. The lake was once an old mining area that filled up with water, forming the lake on the north end of Main St. there in Norway. It sure is lush with greenery, which is doubled because of the reflection in the still waters. Looks like a nice place to leisurely kayak around, unwinding from a busy work week.

That last picture is mesmerizing!! Love it!!

Just FYI: Strawberry Lake was the former site of the Aragon Mine which operated between 1889 and 1932. It was an openpit iron mine (obviously) which recovered 11,339,551 metric tons of ore in the form of hematite, magnetite, and goethite; the typical iron ore minerals from the Menominee Iron Formation.
