Friday-What'sUP August 29 - 10:20 am

Bob Thomson and his brother-in-law Harry enjoy motorcycling trips and were recently touring around the Copper Country with their bikes, a Dyna Low Rider (the black one) and a Goldwing (the red one). They made stops at the all famous Gay Bar in Gay, MI, Bete Gris Bay and Copper Harbor, just to name a few of the landmarks they saw. It was Harry's first time here UP North, but Bob had been here before with his wife JanieT(Bobbysgirl), so he was the tour guide for their "Excellent UP Adventure".

Their biking adventure began in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, taking them through Wisconsin, the U.P. and Minnesota, before circling back around to Iowa again, putting 1500 miles on their bikes. They said the weather was great and scenery at its best, so they had a wonderful vacation on their motorcycles.

The guys had such a great time! My brother was so glad Bob knew his way around because he would have missed so much of what the U.P. offers. My 2 other brothers were not able to make this trip due to one had extensive wrist surgery and the other brother is coaching school football. But I can assure you Bob and Harry are more than excited to do this same venture next year so John & Tom can be a part of Bob & Harry's Excellent Adventure #2!!!

I recently heard that the Gay Bar sign is the most frequently photographed sign in the State.
