Good Morning everyone. I hope no one had serious damage after the storms on Sunday, and I hope that you have your power back on by now, Alex! At least it hasn't been that hot or cold.

The Detroit Free Press has an interesting story this morning about a freighter full of wheat, the Federal Rideau that ran aground near Grosse Pointe on Sunday when it was having mechanical problems. They are still trying to free her.

Good morning, Marianne, and everyone. I join you in your 'hopes'. It was 50 on my thermometer this morning but has now 'warmed' up to 55. Weird weather!

Interesting article....seems there's always ice or 'ground' getting in the way of those big boats!

Happy Days are back on the Farm here! The horse barn roof is all finished and complete from straight line wind damage a month ago! The crew did a great job, my horses no longer feel homeless.

They were talking about that freighter on the news this morning.

And Marianne, all is right in the universe again...power is back on :-) It's amazing how much we take it for granted and how it's missed when it's gone.

I feel like fainting just seeing that construction worker up there building the Mighty Mac without any safety equipment on.
