Thanks Shirley! Bob polished it all up and we put it in a car show yesterday with all proceeds going to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. A friend of ours 7 year old son has been recently diagnosed with it.

I hear those cars were the bomb back in the day!! :-P

With that said...Bob is in quality control with a huge collision center, any car hit in the rear will blow up. The problem with Pintos was fixed back in 1973. Not one Pinto newer than that has not blown up when hit in the rear anymore than a 2014 model of any car.

Personally, the whole Pinto problem was blown way out of proportion back in the 70's. Actually, I hear Pintos are prized possessions these days, as are Pacers.....

We tried to get personalized license plates saying "XPLODER" but the county said no, because it might give off an impression we were bomb makers.
