Over on the eastern end of the U.P. you'll find Whitefish Point Lighthouse. Philip Odum was there recently, early in the morning and captured the light as the day was just beginning. Gives it a bit of a mysterious aura, I like it!

Then Philip snapped a shot of the entire Whitefish Point complex later in the day and happened to catch a freighter passing by at the same time. Quite the neat capture, since the freighter doesn't really stand out as it just slides by like it's sneaking around the point. One of those "in the right place, at the right time" moments, for sure!

What great photos of Whitefish Pt. Lighthouse. I don't think I've ever seen it from this viewpoint. Great pics Philip!
