On Friday night Edie and I attended the candle-light opening of The Moving Wall in Calumet, which had a good turnout in spite of the threat of rain. Then on Saturday we returned for the memorial service, and found the name of our childhood classmate Raymond Whelpley listed among the almost 60,000 names.

Included today is the video with John McDermott's "The Wall" which sums up a lot of the emotion surrounding this memorial. If you are in Calumet on Monday, there's still time to visit on the final day.
