We are flooding also. The Cedar river, less than 1 mile from home here is rising at 1 foot an hour. On top of last weeks flooding that has not yet really gone down.

Really like the beauty of Matt's 'flying high'.

Janie T, will the water approach your place? Wisconsin has it's share of the rain, too. More coming today--------seems from Iowa. Don't send it here. I drove from Houston, TX, to Green Bay the last three days and there was some potentially nasty weather enroute. But,the tornados were in Wisconsin!!!

Tom, yes the water is in our bottom field. Last week it was over our 52" tall fences. Went down, but it is rising once again. Years and years ago this lower field of ours was actually where the Cedar riverbed was. The river now is south less than 1/4 mile from us.

I may add, our place is situated on a bend of the Cedar. To the west it is less than 1 mile. To the south it curves back to the east and is less than a 1/4 mile from us.

Janie, that's terrible! Hope the water recedes soon. Tom, glad you made it home safely.:)

The flooding is something that we are pretty used to. Other than a little fence repair it doesn't do much damage. Sometimes it is a neat sight.

That's good (no bad damage) ~ and it's good you can have that attitude.;)
Looks like there's some 'mean stuff' heading my way from IN.

Good to hear JT, just remember my previous suggestion...alligator shoes :-) I have the perfect ad, too: "Does crocodile make you smile? Then relax awhile...and let JT handle it!"

I like that Alex! I'm no stranger to 12 gauge or a 22! But I heard Crocks are more comfy than alligator shoes......lol!

I have to admit JT, that was a line I borrowed from a Detroit DJ back in the 80s named Electrifying Mojo. He would always start his program with a message from "The Mothership" and one night that message was: "If yo dial don't make you smile, relax awhile and let Mojo handle it!" :-) Funny the things that stick in your mind. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Electrifying_Mojo
