Hi, and good morning. I love the fawn and the dog swimming, trying to catch up with the boaters. The bear crossing the Portage is a little bit creepy. I remember reading a few years back a bear was spotted running around on the hill behind the dorms at Michigan Tech. That was kind of creepy, too, since my oldest son was going to Tech then. Thank heavens he was home for the summer. Have a good day you all. :-)

Speaking of bears...we've been flooded with photos of a young male that's covering a large area of northwestern Illinois. He's creating quite a sensation around these parts. It is believed to be looking for a mate they say. I'm sure he's basically harmless but I'm not sitting out on my patio area these evenings. Just my luck...I've always dreamed about bears since my cousin in Hubble scared me one summer at about 10 years old!! No thanks!
