Good Morning. Let's try this again, since the first try apparently was dumped while the rest of today's postings were uploaded simultaneously. Happy May Day all! There is a great article in this morning's Free Press on the effects of the ice cover on the Great Lakes, trying to break the ice, and a video, with the captains of two of the big ice breakers, the Mackinac and the Biscayne Bay, speaking of the ice breaking activities this winter:

Speaking of May Day, I remember when I was a young child, leaving flowers at the front doors of people I liked, ringing the doorbells, and running and hiding to watch the reaction. I don't know how much that is done today. I am not even sure how many people did that way back when. But it was fun for both the giver and the receiver then. Have a good day you all! :-)

Still foggy and rainy in Ontonagon. Sunday, hopefully, will be the first day in a long time that we'll see the sun. Going to get up in the 50s. Never thought I'd see the day when I got excited about 50° in May.

I remember seeing this on Pasty Cam the other day. Didn't know it was this bad.
