According to Nathan Miller, this week is World Wide KAP Week, so aerial photographers like himself, are out promoting their trade, sharing photos from all over the world. Nathan was out in the Keweenaw flying his photo snapping kite and he adds his own descriptions of the photos here, too:

"This first one is from Calumet Waterworks Park on Lake Superior, showing the breakwall/intake pier. I biked out here from Hancock over the weekend, a beautiful ride on a warm morning. The beach is much narrower now that Lake Superior is higher. Some Keweenaw beaches I can barely even fly at now!

The second photo is also taken at the Waterworks Park. It's of the park itself and budding spring trees. Warm weather is finally here!

The final kite aerial photograph is the Nara Nature Trails in Houghton. The Pilgrim River meanders through the wetlands on its way to the Portage. Soon it'll be full of diverse wildlife (and bugs!)."

I really enjoyed these photos. Thanks for sharing
them with us. That was one long bike ride, for

Very nice pictures. Hard to believe this was covered in snow, not long ago. Tis the season for bugs in the UP. I don't miss the bugs, but I do miss the people and the beauty of the big lake. ( and the good food) Great Job acquiring these pics Nathan. Very cool, and unique.
