With all the snow we had here in the Keweenaw this winter melted now, for the most part and the rains that poured down in the past weeks, the falls around the area are gushing with some raging waters. Judy Byykkonen took a drive with her family recently, to check out what the Eagle River Falls are doing and you can see by her photos here today, that they weren't disappointed. It's amazing that there is a complete wall of white water pouring over and completely hiding the rock wall underneath. Later in the summer season, visitors on the viewing bridge there will see more rock than water, so it's always a treat to see the falls filled like this. I can only imagine how loud the rushing water must have sounded while Judy was standing there snapping pictures.

Oh my gosh!!! How I wish it'd be running like that when I'm there. Even when we went up on Memorial weekend, it was never like that. Now we won't get there until the 7th of June.
Great looking pictures. That water certainly is in a hurry to get somewhere.

I've never seen the falls at Eagle River looking that way either, but expect that's how they'll look when we are there this weekend. Looking forward to it.
