I think we're safe in saying that Spring is finally here in the Copper Country. The crocuses are popping out, adding color to the drabness…hooray! Judy Byykkonen photographed these beauties just a couple days ago and I've seen a few blooming in people's yards, too. They don't really last very long, but they always bring a smile, since flowers growing means winter is over and done with, at least for 6 months or so.
I've been looking and looking at the last photo here today. Are those just a different type of crocus or other flower? They don't look smooth and sleek like the ones in the second photo, they almost look like they were withering and wrinkly. Help me out here, folks.

I tried to keep my focus Even said Hocus Pocus But I ain't seen a crocus Did all my croci die? The leaves of the tulips I planted are coming up nicely though. Fancy multi colored ones. I hope they bloom. Congrats Judy on your success.

That's because they ARE withering and wrinkling. Those are either past their prime or damaged.
