Looks like over the Winter, a lot of our tenth growth (at least) woods & forest here in Menominee county, have been taken for pulp! And they leave behind a royal mess.....sort of goes with the swarms of flies that are showing up around the area....

Gormfrog, I lost two more big maple trees in my backyard yesterday, thanks to the USDA....not for the 'pulp' but because they were infested by the African Longhorned Beetle which just happened to slip by 'inspection'(?) at the docks. Sure will miss that nice shade this summer when the temps reach the 90s! :(
Plus, they're (USDA) coming back for 11 more from my property before all is said and done.
