I 'm with you on that choice, Shirley.

On another note, this morning while watching the Weather Channel
here in Toronto, I was surprised to see Houghton (last Friday)
included with Seville, China and Chile in the channel's special
segment about wild weather around the world. Surprised and
proud. That's right--proud. Sometimes you just have to wonder
about those of us who are or have been Yoopers!

Hi. Houghton, the Lift Bridge, and Portage were featured in a weather clip about a big winter storm this morning on the local news. It was snowing really hard in the clip. They did only labeled the clip a Upper Michigan, but the Lift Bridge is one of a kind in the UP, so... I was surprised, but our local meteorologist is from the UP, near Marquette, I think. (She graduated from CMU with her degree in meteorologist, etc.
