Good morning Dean and all!
Whiteout conditions in Ontonagon. So far we have at least 10 inches of snow. By the time this is over, we will probably have at least 20 inches. The winds will pick up this afternoon and they are warning us of potential power outages.
One good thing, it should all melt, hopefully, by Monday. :)
Good morning, you all. We're having so much rain, there's no telling how much coverage there would be if it were snow. Does the word waterlogged ring a bell?

Safe travels U.P. there! Hope to be U.P. there on business in May.
My cataract surgery went very well on my left eye, thanks all for the well wishes! My sight out of that eye is now incredible, I keep rubbing and blinking my right eye trying to get it to be as clear as the left, and my right eye was the good eye! lol The right eye surgery is scheduled for the 16th, I can't wait to get it done as well! Have a great weekend all!

That's great news, Uncle Chuck. Having seen results from that type surgery, I knew you'd be extremely pleased and pleasantly surprised! Now get out there and enjoy your 'view'.;)

Great news, UC!
That trip in May will be extra sweet with your clearer vision.
Be safe, everyone in the path of this storm, snow and rain!

So good to hear your update U.C.! I know when our Scottish Terrier had diabetic related cataract surgery on both eyes, he was just like a 6 month old puppy all over again! Good health is priceless!

I have that exact same shortwave receiver in 2004. It's a Hammarlund HQ-129X.

A work colleague left Illinois this morning with his buddies for their last UP snowmobile outing. Headed for Twin Lakes for the weekend. I hope they get there safely.

Uncle Chuck, Janie T.: My mother used to say "when you have your health, you have everything", and how true that is.

If you just glance at the Main Street Calumet cam photo, it looks like snow has filled the street up to the second floor! LOL! I'm sure some of you feel like there really has been that much snow this winter....
