Melody Provost Holmes has been out exploring before all the snow completely melts away in the Norway area. This past weekend she visited the Sturgeon Dam there and found some interesting ice formations hiding along the edges of the flowage.
And oh boy, look at that water raging and frothing in her close-up shots. Sure wish we had sound to accompany these photos, as I can imagine the noise of the water was deafening when close to the river's edge like that.
Melody also treats us to several quite scenic shots in the Dam area, with a peek-a-boo through the trees and brush and then one with the waters flowing down and around the rocky slopes along the way.
The last shot shows you the signage marking the road that will take you to the Sturgeon Dam. This is a good time of year to check out the rivers and falls, since most of them will be swollen with the melting of all our UP snow.
