April snow showers here in the Keweenaw, don't look like they'll bring May flowers, unless you're planting them inside. Today's snowy shots were snapped by Joy Ziemnick during our "snow event" last week, that dropped about 19" on us, depending where in the Keweenaw you live.

We’ll come back to the top photo. Her second shot was looking out at the vista they enjoy from their front yard, in case you can't tell. Then a picture of the Goldfinches having a feeding frenzy during the storm…a little snow storm wasn’t going to stop them from getting their dinner.

Joy said that Diesel wasn't real thrilled with having to go outside in that weather, good thing he had a nice jacket on to keep him warm. It almost looks like he was trying to shake winter off himself

The last photo was the "after the storm" shot, taken from the same position as the first picture, just a few hours later, so now you can see the view that the storm was hiding.

Finally - the frozen lady in the first photo, who was told that the hot tub was probably going to be refilled again in April. It looks like she froze while waiting for the temps to warm up enough and the snow to stop falling. Too bad, since she was well prepared with her towel nearby and shades to protect her eyes from the sun, should it ever appear. Soon snow lady, hopefully it will happen soon!

Winter weather is really stubborn this year.

I thought the idea of having a hot tub was to use it in the winter to warm up while the snow flies?
Just where is the picture of the lake shot from? North shore, south shore and is that open water I see in th distance?
