Dorothy Jamison and a group of co-workers from Aspirius Keweenaw were out enjoying the sunshine and getting some exercise recently at the Breakers, near McLain Park. The only "male" in the group was Dorothy's little Godson, who enjoyed exploring all the mountains and crevices he could find out there on the ice. Such fun for a little guy like that and his smile shows just how much he was enjoying the whole excursion.
Not only is this little man Dorothy's special Godson, but he is also the son of Amy Roberts, who you may recall back in 2011 was struck by a car while jogging and suffered a traumatic brain injury, putting her in a coma and having to go through numerous surgeries and years of therapy. Fast forward to this day snowshoeing on the ice here in the Keweenaw, with Amy as one of the girls out enjoying each other's company and the "spring" weather. Dorothy said how proud she is of the progress Amy has made, along with the SISU she has shown on her road to recovery. Not only does she get out there snowshoeing with her friends and little boy, but twice a week goes skiing on the Tech trails with Dorothy, too. She said that always catches a few eyes and lots of conversations with folks along the trail. You've come a long way, Amy and it's so good to see you on your feet and trekking around again.
What a great way to celebrate life…out enjoying the beauty of the Keweenaw with good friends and the wonderment of a child.

Thank You, God!! Amy, you, your husband and little boy have been in my daily prayers ever since I read about your terrible accident several years ago. May God continue to bring about your full recovery.:)
