I'm not sure how these photos today came about, whether the photographer, Carli Ongie challenged her Grandparents, Beegu and Bumpa to climb the nearly 22 foot high snowbank in their yard or whether they just decided to give it a shot and Carli was there to capture the event. Whatever the circumstances behind the mountain climbing, it sure shows that they're not only young at heart, but in great shape for their winter climb.

I think my favorite shot though, is Bumpa, giving Beegu a boost to get up on the very top of the hill. Chivalry is alive and well in Traprock Valley!

Age is just mind over matter; if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. But I am getting a little tired of getting my Cub Cadet stuck in the snow. Three times so far this winter. Water has been frozen here a little over three weeks now. Guess we'll have to wait until May or so. The frost is really gone down this year. We have an 88 year old neighbor who lets me get water when we need it.

Is that who I think it is??? YES---it is my
neighbors! Oh my---- winter has gotten to them.

Congratulations on the successful ascent. I like the picture when they are at the summit and not a Sherpa in sight.

That looked like us (my husband, sister-in-law and
myself) looking at houses for sale last weekend.
We had to climb some big snow banks to get to the
door to see some homes (needless to say, they were
not occupied houses). None the less, it was fun.
Felt like a kid again...or at least in my mind!!!
