The cold weather doesn't stop folks from getting outdoors and enjoying the snow, here UP North. Jodi Corrigan shares some photos of the weekend adventure her family and friends went on recently in the Huron Mountains.
The group hauled their machines to Baraga County, unloaded them and headed out to enjoy the beauty of riding in the woods. Of course along the way, they found some hills to climb and had to celebrate once they arrived at the top without getting stuck. That's Jodi's son up there in that victory pose!
One of the highlights of the weekend for Jodi, was spotting a moose. She said after all the years they've been out there enjoying the Huron Mountain area, she had never seen one, so it was pretty exciting to see two of them on this trip. The moose in the photo here doesn't seem too concerned that they're checking him out and snapping photos. I bet he thinks he's hidden well behind all those trees.
The last shot is of their home away from home for the weekend, what Jodi calls the "Ritz Carlton". Well, maybe not quite as fancy as the real thing, but shelter and a place to warm up from the chill of exploring on their snowmobiles. It looks like they may have done a little show removal from the roof there, too.
What a great way to spend a sunny winter weekend…riding with family and friends.
P.S. ~ Happy Valentine's Day!
