Good morning, Gormfrog! Good morning, Yoopers!
We are at our high of 18 right now. We will drop to -20 before the day is over. Ya just gotta love this winter!

Nice set! One year ago today, SE-MI hit a record high temp of 61 degrees. That groundhog better have some good news :-)

Hi. Alex and Shirley, accuweather.com says that it doesn't matter what the groundhog says - they are predicting the cold and snow to continue at least into late March for the Great Lakes area, at least, regardless of what Phil says, sigh. I am dreaming of spring flowers, leaves on trees, and warmer weather.

Found this interesting tidbit on Wikipedia: "First documented American referernce to groundhog day wes found in a diary kept by James Morris...dated Feb. 4, 1841" Where he referred to it as "Candlemas day", celebrated on Feb. 2nd by the German people in PA. So I guess that's why Punxsutawney Phil lives in PA.
