Good Evening. I tried several times earlier to post, but there was no box available to post. You know it is cold when the weather services actually post "frigid" for temperatures during the day. NOAA said that our overnight low here in Midland was -14, which is frigid in my opinion, anyway, lol. Have a good evening you all!

When will the bridge cam be showing real time images? I miss the daily view.

Inquiring minds want to know ~ do you folks UP there have to 'plug in' your cars at night? When we lived in ND my husband bought a new car and had to have an engine heater installed to be used in those terrible winter low temps. There were posts with outlets at motels, job sites, etc. ~ otherwise cars wouldn't start after being parked for several hours. One night in 1982 the temp bottomed out at 40 below!!

We didnt have a garage. My mom would run her car to warm up the engine then put a heavy horse blanket on it, cover the windowshield with cardboard and make sure it was not facing into the wind. We called it "putting the car to sleep". It helped on those frigid mornings in the Keweenaw.

We had a 2-car garage, BJ, but also had 2 other cars at the time, so that one had to stay outside ~ but it sure warmed up quickly on those cold mornings, and since it was the only one with an engine-heater we drove it during the winter and left the others in the garage. Was glad to say 'goodbye' to ND!:>

I use a 100 watt light bulb, covered over the carburator area. its a heavy duty 100watt. worked real good.

Please bring back the slide show. I really looked forward to the quiet music and the UP pics. The four by four proof sheet doesn't have the same effect.

Good luck finding those anymore, Dan.

I'm with you on that Oldtoot. Very disapointing to say the least.

I can appreciate the new aggregated picture format, but they are too small...no clarity. "God is in the details" :-) (Rohe)

BTW Charlie...the above is just feedback and not meant as criticism, your efforts are appreciated.
