Thanks to Chris Van Arsdale, we're getting a firsthand glimpse at what it's like to be out there grooming the back country snowmobile trails.

First we get to see the Superior Snowmobile Groomers #4 and #2. These are the machines that keep the Twin Lakes area trails in good shape for riding. They're quite the vehicles, with tracks that can get them through any snow they encounter.

Then Chris takes us right out there on trail 3, getting ready to cross the Firesteel Bridge.
Next, on to trail 13 with deep snow looming ahead of the groomer and then a scene showing the beauty the drivers get to enjoy back in the woods.

That last photo lets us all see that it's not just all riding down trails enjoying the view, because they're out there grooming in the midst of stormy weather, too. All in the day of grooming the trails here UP North.

The Firesteel bridge at night looks spooky feeling. I would enjoy grooming trails at night.

And this is why this area has some of the best trails! Bob & I favorite snowmobile vacation area! Love that Trail 3!! The groomers are excel at keeping the trails in great shape! Thank You All Groomers!

Wow, what great shots of the grooming process. Looks like a lot of fun! As i recall most of the trails are groomed by people who donate their services, so i hope they enjoy being out there!
