By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Monday, December 2, 2013 - 10:05 am:

I'm a little late ~ but good morning, Jbuck and Deb. Stay safe in that snow, Deb! Our temp is supposed to reach 60 tomorrow. YAY!

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Monday, December 2, 2013 - 01:32 pm:

Good Afternoon you all. Umm, Shirley, if your weather were to go with the forecast for Denver, CO, your high temp today would be 60, but by Wednesday or Thursday, the high would only be a whopping 9 degrees, yes, the high temp would drop by 51 degrees in a couple of days - ouch!

What an amazing owl. I've never seen one on the beach.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - 06:43 am:

I agree, Kosk. Owls were our college mascot (Rice University in Houston). My husband was the owl keeper. The school had big Great Horned Owls, kept in big cages outside, and my husband had a little barn owl in his room. This was many years ago. The owls were all in great condition, but I bet PETA would cause trouble now days.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - 09:45 am:

You're right, Marianne, our temp is supposed to drop like a lead balloon at the end of the week. I love owls, they're so wise.;)

When I was still teaching, I used to tell a student who had an
exceptionally bright idea that Minerva must have kissed him or her
on the forehead. They got the reference because we were studying
ancient civilizations at the time. Wasn't your husband a lucky duck,
Marianne? There aren't many people who can add that job to their
resumes.
