E. Neil Harri was up in the air over Eagle Harbor, Copper Harbor and Lac La Belle a few days ago, so we get to be his co-pilot checking out what he saw that day.
Neil's first shot is just approaching Eagle Harbor, so you get a good layout of the town and surrounding bodies of water. That is quite the view and if it weren't for the bluish tint of Lake Superior, you would almost believe it's a black and white photo. Not much color in the winter here UP North.
The next two photos take a closer look at the town and beach area of Eagle Harbor, then a beautiful shot of the Lighthouse and campus. Here again, the red of the lighthouse is the only color to be seen, but the beauty of the photo doesn't lie in the coloring.
Flying further up toward the tip of the Keweenaw, Neil spotted the James R. Barker stirring up a wake, as she was passing by Copper Harbor.
And finally, Neil circled the tip and snapped a view looking toward Lac La Belle and Mt. Bohemia, both of which are wearing their winter white and frozen attire. It is always a pleasure to take a flight around the tip of the Keweenaw, thanks for taking us along for the ride, Neil!

One of my favorite little towns! Wonderful pictures high above. Carrie, a friend who lives in Duluth posted pictures, whole lotta snow going on there!

Thank you, Neil, for scenes from this beautiful area. I miss not being able to see shots of Eagle Harbor since George passed away. You live there too, right? Was watching some old videos recently and on one of them was the James R. Barker upbound at the Soo, taped while we were standing on the deck of The Valley Camp. Ah, memories!

Great Photo's, the last photo, the lake at the bottom I'm guessing is Deer Lake? I don't think I realized the size of that lake before.

Yes, that is Deer lake. Thanks for comments. Just drove 9 hours in the slush to get home from Traverse city.
