Congratulations to the Ishpeming Hematites on their
state championship win today, defeating Detroit
Loyola 22-12! GREAT JOB, HEMATITES!!

The Hematites did an amazing job. My father was born in
Ishpeming, my daughter and her family live in Ishpeming, and I
spend a good part of every year there. We are PROUD of the
Hematites. In fact, my husband was horrified when a border guard
in Port Huron, Michigan (questioning us at the time) had no idea
where Ishpeming was earlier this year. My husband felt obliged to
tell him the saga of the Hematites. The border guard listened
patiently and let us go on our way. There will be a pizza party at
the Congress, I'm sure. Woo Hoo!!
